Hi
So I am working on a large project with multiple different companies. PW is helping to work collaboratively through sharing files etc.
The issue I am having is that there is a set workflow and files can only be referenced into drawings when they are 'Issued for Information' (IFI).
When a company creates a new version of a file which is referenced as (IFI) it will become 'Work in Progress' (WIP), and we will be prompted to select which version we want to use when we next open the Drawing in which the file is referenced. The issue comes when people select 'switch to active version' - which seems the most obvious option to choose - As the active version is the most recent version in this case, and WIP which we do not have the permission to reference so the reference becomes red in the Reference Manager and no longer visible.
I do not want to just 'discard and continue' when prompted to choose a version, as this would cause problems further down the line when I will be working on the much previous version and not the most recent IFI version.
Therefore I was wondering if there was a way around this so that instead of selecting the IFI version individually, we could have the 'active version' as the most recent version which has been IFI - therefore I could select 'switch to active version' without having to worry about the reference no longer showing?
I hope I have explained myself alright.
Any help is much appreciated!
Thanks
